A Rifle inspired by the Krag-Jørgensen rifle: Designed and produced in Norway it was the main weapon used by the Norwegian army up until the invasion of 1940. Versions of the Krag-Jørgensen was also used by the US army until the 1890’s (before the Springfield rifles came).
Decided to make my main texture dedicated to King Haakon VII. During WW2 the Norwegian king (His Majesty the King Haakon VII) was an important symbol for Norwegian unity against the German invasion, and thus his monogram (H7) was used to mark resistance against the occupation (both as a “civillian rebellion” and active military resistance). His slogan “Alt for Norge” (Everything for Norway) is also inscribed into the rifle’s barrel.
I also played around a bit with other styles and textures for the rifle.
